At the end of September, Fujikura Automotive Ukraine Lviv launched production activities in Plant number 2. The total area of production space is 10.600 m2. It is planned to employ around 1.800 employees in that second plant.
On June 1st, 2016 Fujikura Automotive Ukraine Lviv signed a Memorandum in collaboration with the Polytechnic University. The parties agreed to develop and implement a training program in the University, according to the Company's activities. In addition, the parties agreed to open an internship program for the students of the Polytechnic University.
Fujikura Automotive Europe is set to launch production in Moldova, and in the first phase, to create about 700 jobs. Subsequently, this figure might go up to 3,000 jobs. The President of Fujikura Automotive Europe, Mr. Kimio Koizumi made statements to this effect at a meeting with the Moldovan Prime Minister, Mr. Pavel Filip.
On March 2015 a new Fujikura company was established in the Czech Republic in order to expand the services functions that the former branch was offering there to our customer Skoda, therefore, this was our response to the increase of demand.
Since the establishment of the Russian company we have been working very hard on the preparation of the plant in order to be operative, start the manufacturing and deliver to our customers. As a result of all the hard work, we shared our first steps and our business launch in Russia with the authorities, and with our partners and collaborators, through an opening ceremony on the 21st October of 2015.
Once again, due to our loyal support to our customers and our instinct of self-improvement, we started our customer service operation in a new office in Stuttgart in October 2014, where due to our proximity to Porsche our service could be closer and always offered as fast as possible.
Our presence in Ukraine took place at the end of 2013, however we started smoothly and carefully our business relationships considering the challenges that we would have to face during the following months. Nevertheless, improvement of the scenario has made it possible for us to continue our business, and launch our first plant in Ukraine.
